Abstract
Systems, methods, and computer program products for performing an operation comprising detecting a first mobile device within a predefined proximity of a display device, receiving profile data from the first mobile device, identifying at least one rule for selecting media content based on the profile data, selecting, based on the at least one rule applied to the profile data, a first item of media content of a plurality of items of media content, and outputting the first item of media content for display on the display device.

The present disclosure relates to in-store screen experiences, and more specifically, to dynamically selecting media content for in-store screen experiences.Description of the Related Art
It is a challenge to engage visitors to retail establishments, as thousands of people may visit a given location every day. For example, a video for a specific toy may engage some users, but many others may not be interested in that particular item. Often, more tailored content is the only way to engage specific users or groups of users. Therefore, there is a need for solutions that engage as many users as possible.SUMMARY
In one embodiment, a method comprises detecting a first mobile device within a predefined proximity of a display device, receiving profile data from the first mobile device, identifying at least one rule for selecting media content based on the profile data, selecting, based on the at least one rule applied to the profile data, a first item of media content of a plurality of items of media content, and outputting the first item of media content for display on the display device.
