An embodiment provides amethod, including: identifying a first type of media and a second type of media; determining a compression technique to be used to compress a combined media created from the firsttype of media and the second type of media; and aligning using a processor, based on the compression technique determined, the first type of media and the second type of media to create the combined media. Other aspects are described and claimed.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWINGS(1) FIG. 1A illustrates an example of a misaligned graphical element and video data with compression artifacts resulting therefrom.(2) FIG. 1B illustrates an example of a re-aligned graphical element and video data without compression artifacts.(3) FIG. 2 illustrates an example method of compression aware media alignment.(4) FIG. 3 illustrates an example apparatus for implementing compression aware media alignment.DETAILED DESCRIPTION(5) It will be readily understood that the components of the embodiments, as generally described and illustrated in the figures herein, may be arranged and designed in a wide variety of different configurations in addition to the described example embodiments. Thus, the following more detailed descriptionof the example embodiments, as represented in the figures, is not intended to limit the scope of the embodiments, as claimed, but is merely representative of example embodiments.(6) Reference throughout this specification to “one embodiment” or “an embodiment” (or the like) means that a particular feature, structure, or characteristic described in connection with the embodiment is included in at least one embodiment. Thus, the appearance of the phrases “in one embodiment” or “in an embodiment” or the like in various places throughoutthis specification are not necessarily all referring to the same embodiment.(7) Furthermore, the described features, structures, or characteristics may be combin
1. A method, comprising: identifying a first type of media and a second type of media; determining a compression technique to be used to compress a combined media created from the first type of media and the second type of media; identifying, based upon the compression technique determined, a location of a first compression region and identifying a second compression region bordering on the first compression region; determining, based upon the compression technique determined, if one of: the first type of media and the second type of media overlaps the border between the first compression region and the second compression region; andrepositioning, based upon determining that one of: the first type of media and the secondtype of media overlaps the border, one of: the first type of media and the second type ofmedia that overlaps the border to create the combined media, wherein the repositioning comprises repositioning the one of: the first type of media and the second type of media that overlaps the border to adjoin substantially coincident with the border so that the one of: the first type of media and the second type of media no longer overlaps the border. 11.An apparatus, comprising: a processor; and a memory storing instructions executable by the processor to: identify a first type of media and a second type of media; determine a compression technique to be used to compress a combined media created from the first type of media and the second type of media; identify, based upon the compression technique determined, a location of a first compression region and identifying a second compression region bordering on the first compression region; determine, based upon the compression techniquedetermined, if one of: the first type of media and the second type of media overlaps the border between the first compression region and the second compression region; and reposition, based upon determining that one of: the first type of media and the second type of media overlaps the border, one of: the first type of media and the second type of media thatoverlaps the border, wherein to reposition comprises repositioning the one of: the first type of media and the second type of media that overlaps the border to adjoin substantially coincident with the border so that the one of: the first type of media and the second type of media no longer overlaps the border.
20. A product, comprising: a storage device storing code executable by a processor of an apparatus, the code comprising: code that identifies a first type of media and a second type of media; code that determines a compression technique to be used to compress a combined media created from the first type of media andthe second type of media; code that identifies, based upon the compression technique determined, a location of a first compression region and identifies a second compression region bordering on the first compression region; code that determines, based upon the compression technique determined, if one of: the first type of media and the second type of media overlaps the border between the first compression region and the second compression region; and code that repositions, based upon determining that one of: the first type of media and the second type of media overlaps the border, one of: the first type of media and the second type of media that overlaps the border, wherein the code that repositions comprises code that repositions the one of: the first type of media and the second type of media that overlaps the border to adjoin substantially coincident with the border so that the one of: the first type of media and the second type of media no longer overlaps the border.
